In Florida, a student with ADHD is eligible for an IEP if the ADHD reduces his/her efficiency in school work, adversely affects his/her performance in the educational environment, and the student needs special education.

Performance in the education environment is not just limited to academics.   It also includes how a student behaves, organizes, completes work, communicates, and socializes.
